Thank you for this lovely echo of my heart and soul. There is as much elegance and grace to be had in pure presence together as there is in a riding relationship.
So much to say about my return to this thread in my life. Pulling it from the beginning of the tapestry and weaving it forward into the now. It’s a personal journey with a sacred animal.
'Horses don’t know what to do with the mythical pedestal we’ve placed them on." Neither do Indians. Pedestals are lonely places.
This is all so beautiful. Bramblewood needs to be seen as a relicable model. So much heartbreak, for humans and horses, could be avoided if everyone started in a field instead of on a ladder. I love you and I love what you continue to create.
So much has happened that you and I need to catch up on. It's time to launch what a public riding stable can be -- and the horses and the humans will benefit.
I put you on a pedestal, but it's not because you're an Indian. I do it because you're fabulous and funny. I love you.
It is my life goal to be a crazy horse/cat lady eating snacks with you on our little pedestal (that looks like a mushroom) where we can lounge and make commentary.
I am one of the women who returned to horses after an absence of over thirty years. I ride, and I spend a lot of time with my feet on the ground gazing. This is a beautiful essay.
You are my favorite kind of horse woman. I get a lot of email inquiries but when a woman who has been away from horses tells me she is ready to come back -- my heart wakes up.
Thank you so very much! For reading this and to for listening to the call that brought you back.

I think about you and the presence that you bring to horses and to the land and to everything all the time. I'm so glad to know you here.

Tapestry is such a beautiful and true image. 🕸️

You can put me anywhere you want me (as long as you're there too and we have snacks... and cats)

I'm so down for that!

You write with purity and practicality without a hint of sarcasm. Excellent.
“In their eyes, you’re not a project — and neither are they.” —— Yes. This is beautiful.
