The Horse Beside You
A bonus gift from the farm: Bringing the rhythm of the herd to wherever you are
What Happens Beside a Horse?
Standing beside a horse changes people. I’ve seen it happen in so many ways during the two decades I have been guiding people alongside my herd.
Horses don’t flinch when you show up messy. You’re drawn into their deep noticing of the world, and you begin to see with fresh eyes. Their size and presence ground you. When you’re still enough to ride the waves of awkward silence into simply being, your body begins to sync with theirs: your heartbeat slows, your breathing deepens, and your blood pressure lowers.
Through it all, you begin to remember — maybe for the first time — what it feels like to be rooted and safe inside your own skin.
This is the work I do with my horses. Together, we help guide people back to the wisdom they’ve always carried — wisdom that got buried in the twists and turns of life.
Some come to the farm for clarity. Others arrive needing quiet. Most don’t know exactly why they’re here, only that something in them is tired of pretending everything’s fine.
This is where the work begins.
What I Offer:
I’m a mindset and nervous system coach, grounded in the rhythms of the land and the wisdom of the herd. I work with people who are tired of overriding their lives, tired of performing, and tired of living in a way that might look good on paper but leaves their bodies in a near-constant state of bracing.
Sometimes I meet people in the barn or on the farmhouse porch, but mostly I meet people virtually on the screen. No matter where we’re meeting, the questions we explore often take the same shape:
What are you sensing?
What are you carrying that’s not yours?
Where in your life do you still feel like you have to earn your worth?
Where does it hurt to hope?
And perhaps most importantly:
What happens when you stop bracing?
Extending the Work Beyond the Farm:
Not everyone can come to Bramblewood. But that doesn’t mean the horses can’t go to you.
I’ve been working behind the scenes on the next season of my practice building options where you don’t have to come to the farm to feel the presence of the herd. I want the cadence of hooves, the rhythm of their breath, and the space to start again to meet you wherever you are.
And you’re the first to step inside.
This isn’t just a preview, it’s a threshold and a full-hearted beginning that I am honored to share and experience alongside you.
What Comes Next
🌀 Guided Nervous System Regathering Sessions (Audio)
Short, somatic audio experiences that meet you in the middle of a hard day or a quiet morning. These experiences aren’t lofty or forced, but they’re gentle trail markers leading back to yourself. These will be released regularly and made available first to paid subscribers, collected in a growing library you can return to anytime.
Here is the first one.
The Horse Beside You
A gift from the herd.
This is not a meditation or a mindset hack. It’s a remembering.
You’ll be guided into the felt experience of standing beside a horse with no demands, and no fixing, only a soft, easy presence that helps your body remember what rootedness feels like.
You can listen whenever you need a reset. You can return to it as often as you like.
And with it, I’ve included a free workbook to help you carry the experience with you, reflect on what surfaces, and start to shift the way you move through your life.

More On the Horizon:
🌿 Virtual Story Circles
Each month, I’ll be opening space for a small-group coaching that is rooted in narrative and nervous system work. Together, we’ll unravel the stories we’ve been living in, and begin shaping new ones that fit who we’re becoming. You don’t need to be a writer. You just need to be willing to tell the truth.
🌿 The Bramblewood Field Guide (digital edition)
A resource library of somatic practices, reflections, and rituals designed to feel like a walk through the farm. You’ll find the stillness of the horses, the hum of the woods, and the clarity that comes when you’re not being asked to perform. I want this to be a place where you can gather and experience the farm and drink from our virtual well wherever you are in the world.
🌿 One-on-One Coaching (virtual)
I have always curated private coaching sessions, but I’m expanding. Virtual coaching sessions are for people who want to go deeper in a container that’s steady and spacious. We work with the nervous system, with story, and with the tools that have shaped my own return to self — and so much more. These sessions are for those who are ready to stop bracing. I’ll meet you there.
If this work speaks to something in you . . .
There’s more.
The Horse Beside You is just the beginning, an entry point into a deeper library of offerings designed to bring the steadiness of the herd wherever you are.
Paid subscribers to Stable Roots receive access to everything that follows: each new Guided Regathering session as it’s released, the full archive of audio practices, companion workbooks, story-based tools, and invitations to deepen the work at your own pace.
Here’s what’s included:
🌿 All Nervous System Regathering Sessions — first access to each release and the complete library, before anything goes public.
🌿 Access to the Stable Roots Chat — a private community space for like-minded seekers to connect, reflect, and grow together.
🌿 Weekly Essays from the Farm — personal, poetic reflections from the horses, the woods, and the places where transformation begins.
🌿 Audio Voiceovers — my essays read aloud and sent directly to your podcast feed.
🌿Relatively Stable Conversations — interviews with artists, horsewomen, and quiet revolutionaries.
🌿 First Access to New Offerings — courses, coaching groups, and retreat invitations announced here first.
🌿 A Place to Belong — for those who feel out of step with the world but deeply at home in their own becoming. For those ready to stop overriding and start listening.
Free subscribers will continue to receive all my weekly essays and my ongoing thanks to you for being a part of this herd.
We are always beginning
My herd doesn’t live in the paddocks and the barn, not really. The herd lives in all of our breath, in our rhythms, and in our remembering our way back to ourselves.
And the herd comes with me.
We’ve always felt the call to the place where we belong and for those of you who do not have that farm down the street, I’m here to bring it to you.
Wherever you are in the world, I can meet you with this work so you can feel the steadiness and we can see each other in the pause. This is a place for you to begin again, and again, as you make your way through a rooted, satisfying, expansive life.
It’s not out of reach. The farm is blooming right here and I would love to hand you a bouquet.
No matter how you want to take part in my community, I’m so glad to be doing this work beside you.
Love,
Kim
I could listen to your voice for hours. This is such a gift. YOU are such a gift!
“You don’t need to be a writer. You just need to be willing to tell the truth.” And “A Place to Belong”.
Those got me. Thank you. I am beyond thankful for this space.
